In May 2013, plan to come to the renowned Columbia Valley Wetlands, one of the longest systems of continuous wetlands in North America, stretching 180km from Canal Flats to Donald. This impressive ecosystem, where 265 species of birds have been recorded, gained international recognition when it was chosen as a Ramsar wetlands in 2005. The Columbia Valley Wetlands represents one of the few remaining intact portions of the Pacific Flyway critical to migrating birds.
